Listen to music
Music has a remarkable ability to transport us to a place of comfort and relaxation. Listening to your favourite music can help a lot more than you think.
Whether it's your favourite song, classical melodies, smooth jazz, simple piano piece or serene nature sounds, let the lyrics or the music wash over you and melt away the stress.
Remember, finding the right genre or artist that resonates with you is key. Experiment with different types of music to discover what helps you chill and ease off the most. So, grab your headphones, press play, and let the music guide you to a place of serenity.

Talk to a friend
When you are feeling stressed, try sharing your problem to a friend whom you feel comfortable with. Just have a meet up or even a video call and let the conversation flow like a river.
Talking to a friend who understands is like hitting a refresh button on your stress levels. It's a remainder that you are never alone in this crazy journey called life.
Breath in, Stress out
When stress starts to tighten its grip, one of the simplest yet most effective ways to find instant relaxation is through focused breathing exercises. Deep, intentional breathing can help calm your mind, reduce anxiety, and restore a sense of balance.
Try this simple breathing exercise called "4-7-8 Breathing":
1. Find a comfortable seated position or lie down.
2. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, counting to 4 in your mind.
3. Hold your breath for a count of 7.
4. Slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of 8, making a gentle whooshing sound.
5. Repeat this cycle for a few minutes, focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
As you practice this exercise, you'll notice the soothing effect it has on both your mind and body. The intentional focus on breath allows you to let go of stress and bring your attention to the present moment.
Laugh out loud
Laughter is the best medicine, so why not prescribe yourself a hearty dose of giggles?
Watch a funny movie, dive into a collection of hilarious memes(check out Reddit), or spend time with that one friend who never fails to make you laugh. Laughter releases endorphins, those happy hormones that can help you forget about your worries, at least temporarily.
Connect with nature
Go out, touch grass(literally). Spend time in nature to reconnect with its calming energy. Take a hike in the woods, have a picnic in the park, or simply sit by a serene lake. Nature has a way of grounding us and providing a respite from the chaos of daily life.
Exercise
When stress is weighing you down, sometimes all it takes is a quick burst of physical activity to release tension and boost your energy levels. Set aside just one minute for a power exercise that gets your blood flowing and releases endorphins.
You can start simple, just 5 push ups or one minute plank. No need of any fancy gym equipments. Just do anything that gets your body moving.

Dive into a good book
Books are not as boring as you think. Escape into the world of literature and allow your mind to wander through captivating stories. Reading is an excellent way to shift your focus from stress to imagination. Get lost in the pages and let the words weave calmness around you.

Binge watch your guilty pleasure TV shows
Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu - they all call your name when stress levels are off the charts. So grab your favorite snacks, plop onto the couch, and indulge in a guilt-free binge-watching session. Reality TV, superhero saga's, or cheesy rom-coms – it's your stress-free escape, so choose wisely!
Dance like nobody's watching
There's nothing quite like shaking your stress away with some funky dance moves. Try out all the tiktok dance moves that you can remember. Blast your favorite tunes, unleash your inner dancing superstar, and remember to close the door or else, if someone catches your act then no one can save you from the cringe.
Start writing journal(diary)
When stress feels overwhelming, pouring your thoughts onto paper can be incredibly helpful to lighten your mind . Take some time each day to sit down with a journal(diary) and pen, and let your emotions flow freely. Write about your worries, frustrations, or even your dreams and aspirations.
Journaling provides a safe space to express yourself honestly and without judgment. It helps you gain clarity, process your emotions, and gain a fresh perspective on your challenges. Additionally, it can serve as a record of your growth and a source of reflection.
Well my fellow humans, we have reached the end of our stress busting adventure. Take a deep breath and pat yourself on the back for sticking with me through this rollercoaster ride of relaxation.
